Knighton

Knighton is a small and picturesque medieval border town. It is a popular and unique tourist town in Wales, steeped in history. As a centre for walking activities, Offa's Dyke Centre in Knighton is positioned at about the halfway point of the Offa's Dyke Path National Trail and at the start of the Glyndwr's Way National Trail (see walks). The Welsh town name "Tref-y-Clawdd" even means the town on the dyke. The Offa's Dyke Centre includes the town's Tourist Infomation Centre and has a picnic area and playground for younger children. A short walk from the centre takes you to a tranquil riverside setting, before you follow the river towards the northern half of the Dyke itself.

Kinsley Villa itself is technically in Shropshire (England), as it lies across the river Teme from the main town.

The town hosts a wonderful range of interesting art, crafts and antique shops to browse, as well as a wide range of more traditional outlets. The town also hosts a regular animal market as Knighton is still plays a pivotal role for the local farming community. There are several public houses and restaurants offering variety for all age groups.
