Kinsley Villa

A semi-detached victorian cottage in Knighton, sleeping 5 to 6 in three bedrooms.

Full weeks start FRIDAY.

Built in the 19th Century, Kinsley Villa was completely refurbished in 2006 to include full gas central heating, wood burning stove, fully fitted kitchen and up to date bathroom.

Kinsley Villa is a hub for walking opportunities. Kinsley Woods & the Shropshire Way are immediately in front of the cottage, and the more active may launch straight up a public footpath within 50 metres (but this is not for the faint hearted!!) The Offa's Dyke visitors centre is in the centre of the town, reached from the cottage via the main roads or via part of Offa's Dyke itself. Offa's Dyke is within 800 metres of the cottage and there are many other trails to explore including Glyndwr's Way and the Shropshire Way.

Pub & restaurant 600 metres, main town 1000 metres for more restaurants and pubs, wide range of shops.

The railway station is within 400 metres, serving the Heart of Wales line from Shrewsbury to Llanelli & Swansea. Since there are only 4 short trains in each direction, the railway itself is not an intrusive neighbour.

Ground floor: Lounge/dining room, kitchen, bathroom with electric shower over the bath, toilet and basin.

First Floor: 3 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin, 1 with adult bunks.

Gas central heating, woodburner in lounge (initial supply of logs provided), colour TV, video, DVD player, stereo/CD player, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, all other gas and power, bed linen and towels included in rent, enclosed lawned garden, patio, garden furniture, barbecue, off road parking for 1 car. Pets welcome.

Travel cot, high chair, stair gate available.

Please note that the staircase is quite steep and winding, so may not suit some visitors

Pets Welcome

From our guestbook:

WHERE HAWKS FLY IN A CLEAR BLUE SKY
FAR AWAY FROM THE HUE AND CRY
WHERE REDS AND WHITES HOVER OVER THE PURPLE SPIKE
AND THE LITTLE HOUSE FEEDS THE FINCH, TIT AND THE LIKE
WHERE TIME STANDS STILL FOR THOSE THAT WISH
TO DRINK FROM OFFA'S NATURAL DISH
WHERE MEN OF MERCIA TOILED IN OFFA'S DUTY
NOW AN AREA OF OUTSTANDING BEAUTY

Ann, Thanks for a great week!
A most enjoyable holiday.
